One of the leading pioneers of agentic AI in procurement Zycus has launched the Agentic AI Field Guide for Procurement, a complimentary, on-demand video series that gives procurement leaders a vendor-neutral foundation in agentic AI.

It is the precursor to the live Agentic AI Procurement Masterclass, which Zycus will host this July with ISM (Americas), CIPS (EMEA) and PASA (Australia/APAC), grounded in research from The Hackett Group.

As vendors race to advertise ever-larger libraries of AI agents, most procurement teams still cannot separate genuine agentic capability from marketing claims, or move pilots into governed, enterprise-scale use. Both programs tackle that gap with education first – not a product pitch.

Part 1 – Watch Now: The On-Demand Field Guide (Complimentary)

The Field Guide is a seven-module, self-paced video series, watchable on its core path in about 35-40 minutes. It moves from the vocabulary of AI to the architecture decisions that determine whether AI delivers value in procurement – covering how orchestrated agentic workflows differ from isolated point agents, why autonomy needs governance, and the concept of Agent Debt: the compounding cost of deploying agents without structure. A practical example runs throughout, such as turning a vague intake request into a sourcing-ready event, then into a governed supplier negotiation. Interactive knowledge checks and downloadable worksheets let leaders apply it to their own workflows. No cost, no barrier to entry.

Part 2 – Register Now: The Live Masterclass (Complimentary, This July)

The live Masterclass takes leaders from understanding to application across three sessions, run region by region alongside each region’s authoritative procurement body and local experts:

  • Session 1 – What agentic AI really is, and what it does in procurement (Chris Sawchuk, Principle Analyst, The Hackett Group)
  • Session 2 – How point agents differ from agentic AI (Chris Sawchuk, Principle Analyst, The Hackett Group)
  • Session 3 – Why DIY and studio-based solutions create Agent Debt (Omid Ghamami, Procurement Educator and Thought Leader)

Hosted with ISM (Americas), CIPS (EMEA) and PASA (Australia/APAC). Americas attendees can earn 2 CEH credits accredited by ISM, Australia/APAC attendees can earn 1 CPD credits accredited by PASA – and benchmark their own AI maturity against global peers.

Agentic AI will not reward organisations that adopt it blindly. It rewards those who understand it deeply enough to govern it. We built the Field Guide to raise the floor of understanding across the profession, so every procurement leader walks in informed.

Our community wants clarity on what agentic AI means for procurement. Working with experts, like Zycus, provides a research-grounded, education-first perspective that adds value.
